Policies

Please read each policy & sign below each policy. Once you've read through everything- there is a place to initial and sign & date at the bottom. If you have any questions- please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you!

Spay/Neuter Policy: I agree to spay or neuter by 6 months of age. Dogs that go into heat prior to being spayed cannot return to daycare until the a week after their heat has finished, and there will be no refunds, credits or make-goods for missed days due to heat. We will, at our discretion, allow missed days for surgery while being spayed or neutered and during recovery to be made up at a future date, subject to availability, and by the end of the month following the date of surgery.

Trial Day Policy: Upon completing all required paperwork, we will schedule a trial day for your dog, with the plan on starting on the schedule chosen for your dog thereafter.

Typically it will take anywhere from a few days up to a month to see how your dog is doing & adjusting with us. Unless there are clear red flags the goal is to keep your pup coming consistently for a successful transition into our program. We will always keep you posted & informed on how your dog is doing in our care, and you may check in with us at anytime for more feedback if needed.

Sick Dog Policy: if your dog is sick please take him/her to the vet. We reserve the right to refuse a visit if your dog arrives sick or with fleas. If your dog becomes sick while here, we will call you to pick up your dog, or if an emergency, we will take the dog to our vet if we deem it necessary. You will be responsible for any vet bills. If your dog misses time because they are sick, we may, at our discretion, agree to allow for a make-good day in the future. Any make good days expire at the end of the month after the day on which the original time was missed.

Leash Policy: At Bark Avenue, safety is our top priority. Therefore we enforce leash laws. Your dog must be leashed when you drop him/her off and you must have a leash when you pick him or her up. We use our own leashes while your dog is at daycare

** UPDATED* Cancelations/Add-On: No reservation cancellations. Should you need to miss daycare for any reason (except for specific cases laid out in these policies), you will still be charged your monthly membership. You can request additional days by logging in to your account and making the request, and pending availability of space they will either be accepted or declined. Any permanent schedule change requests should be emailed to [email protected] and a decision will be made pending availability*

Payment Policy: Payment will be made in advance, on a monthly basis, on the 1st of each month via your online account with Bark Avenue. (You will receive your log in info). 30 day notice requried to cancel or change the service level for your daycare services. *

* there is a $3 fee added per day for all credit card transactions

Pick Up Times/Locations: Small dogs: Dogs must be picked up between by 4-7 PM at our King Street location. Big Dogs: Dogs must be picked up between 4-7 PM at our Berry Street location. Please notify us if you are running late to avoid extra fees. If you need to pick up your dog before 4pm, please make sure you notify us ahead of time. Late fee's apply for any pick up after 7pm

Weekend/ Holiday Care/in home boarding: We close down for weekends/ holidays. You will be notified of upcoming closures. We offer limited weekend/ holiday care by appointment only.
